Enraged by the serious flaws of the Fiat Toro, users made a "picket" to demand solutions

The problems for the automotive Fiat Chrysler Automobile (FCA) seem to have no end.

What seemed to be one of the most important releases for the company, became a big headache.

The Fiat Toro, imported from Brazil and presented as an innovative vehicle in a category that is just developing –as is that of the intermediate pick-ups– is dragging flaws that generated a wave of complaints from the owners, who they also criticize the lack of response from the automaker.

The first criticisms were expressed through social networks and even on YouTube, where non-conforming users were uploading videos and showing the problems that the Fiat truck is dragging due to flaws in the particle filter, a failure that can lead to breakage of the engine.

Now, tired by the lack of solutions on the part of the terminal, a group of owners concentrated in Córdoba to march towards the plant of the company.

The problems are linked to the particulate filter (called DPF), which is designed to reduce polluting emissions and comply with Euro 5 regulations.

The malfunction of the DPF generates that, in some occasions, the diesel leaks and contaminates the lubrication system of the engine.

The failures reach such a point that Juan Divotti, one of the users present at the protest in Córdoba, told the newspaper La Voz that this has led to the "melting down" of several vans.

"Piquete" for the lack of answers

The owners who disagree with the operation of La Toro met in the Sarmiento Park in Córdoba during the morning.

During the protest, some owners raised their hoods, of which they hung posters with legends of the type "All (the Bull) are broken".

Then, the group left in a caravan to complain to the plant that FCAposes in the town of Ferreira.

Media from that province echoed the news and assured that the owners assured that they are even studying to sue the automaker for the lack of solutions.

The unusual order of FiatFCA Automobiles Argentina had to issue a statement acknowledging the existence of "inconveniences" in some trucks Fiat Toro Fredoom Manual Box MT6 (six speeds) and noted that these unforeseen "are being addressed, giving attention and appropriate solutions."

However, one of the users who participated in the protest said that until now they have not had "any response from the company", while the concessionaires are limited to providing the oil change.

Fiat recommended to the owners "to respect the indications of the DPF system in terms of the completion of the regeneration cycle" and "to use the indicated fuel, Grade 3 Premium".

But, in a paragraph by other unusual, the company asks "to avoid the continuous use of the vehicle" to realize "short trips that prevent to reach the ideal temperature of operation of the engine".

From Fiat added that if the recommendations are not followed, it could "cause DPF clogging, premature degradation of the oil, and / or serious damage to the engine."

In recent weeks, several users have been dumping their complaints through YouTube.
